On August 4th, 2021, Positive Development expanded their organization by acquiring Cawn Krantz & Associates. With locations in both Northbrook and Chicago, IL, Cawn Krantz has been supporting children with neurodevelopmental challenges and their families in Illinois for over 35 years.
Rooted in decades of experience, most importantly as parents, family members, and clinicians of children with autism and other disabilities, Positive Development’s integrative, developmental approach to therapy respects the individuality of every child, with treatment based on their strengths and how they process the world around them.
Positive Development’s CEO Mike Suiters said,
“We share the same strong commitment to core values, especially service quality, clinical approach, and mission: building connections and shaping futures for children with developmental differences.”
Co-directors Sherri Cawn and Jerri Krantz added, “With their clinical leadership’s deep roots in the developmental community, we are now part of a national network whose mission is to advance developmental-minded, relationship-based therapies. We trust them to continue work in our goal of spreading the development model and ensuring all families have access to a choice in pediatric therapy.”
Positive Development provides education, coaching, and tools to enable parents to become an empowered and essential part of their child’s care team. Comprehensive Developmental Therapy treats children with autism and other developmental differences holistically by including Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Mental Health Therapy as part of the intervention process.
