Dr. Susan “Sue” Smith-Foley, OTD, MPA, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist from New Jersey who has expertise in integrating the DIR model into family-centered care and multi-disciplinary teams across home, clinic, and school settings. She obtained her DIRFloortime® Certificate from the Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders in 2010 and pursued advanced training in parent-mediated intervention models since then. She is passionate about supporting children with neurodiversity and their families using a strengths-based approach. Sue completed a post-professional doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy (OTD) at The University of Kansas Medical Center in 2018, as well as earned a Master of Public Administration from Seton Hall University, and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Kean University. She is a Senior Faculty member of Profectum Academy, a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the New Jersey Occupational Therapy Association. She is excited to be the Lead Occupational Therapist on the New Jersey Positive Development Team.
