Maryanne Nugent

As the Chief Marketing and Engagement Officer of Positive Development, Maryanne Nugent provides management, leadership, and vision to ensure Positive Development meets its short-term and long-term objectives while helping to create enduring policies and a company culture that strengthens operational efficiency. 

Maryanne began her career in technology sales in the 1990s where she worked until her eldest child was diagnosed with autism. As a young boy, her son began receiving Developmental Therapy, and this experience changed the course of Maryanne’s professional career — as well as her life. She left the workforce for seven years to focus on her son's developmental progress as well as the care of her two younger daughters. 

Upon returning to the business world, she joined a start-up company called Autism Home Support Services. At AHSS Maryanne served as the Director of Family Support and Marketing for seven years. In that role, she helped over 600 families access services in three different states. During her years at AHSS, she was able to fuel her passion for helping families as well as rapidly grow a business. 

In 2017, Maryanne left AHSS to become a consultant and worked with a variety of other pediatric therapy organizations. Finally, in 2019, she met Mike Suiters, the CEO and founder of Positive Development. Positive Development has provided Maryanne the opportunity to fulfill her biggest dream — bring Comprehensive Developmental Therapy, covered by insurance, to families of all socio-economic backgrounds in every state.
