Start your weekend The Positive Way with this amazing feedback we received from the mom of a 3-year-old boy we’ve been working with!
Recently I took him to the grocery store myself (for the second time ever). Usually, my husband and I had to take him together and he would watch videos and cry for most of the time. This time he was regulated the whole time (wasn’t afraid to sit in the shopping cart!). He got two small wafers to eat during the grocery trip. He was a bit upset when I said no more, but remained regulated and bounced back quickly, which is huge!
Today I took him to the beach for the first time by myself. He loved running around barefoot on the sand and was really happy there. When it was time to go, he held my hand and I didn’t have to force it at all even though I could tell he wanted to stay. The day isn’t over but he was super happy today and as of 6:30 pm, he didn’t have one meltdown.
Last week, he had a hard time with regulation. I think possibly because I wasn’t able to put in as much time. But then I did and we had those big wins afterward, so I’m really happy.
Overall, he is so much more regulated, expressive, engaged, and is sleeping better! He is also tolerating taking turns on choosing music in the car and doing very well in school. I’m sure there are other wins too, but those jumped out at me because I remember them being big goals for me.
I am so grateful to you all for your expertise, hard work, and support and guidance with him!! I know we’ll still have our downs and new goals to meet, but I wanted to acknowledge your part in how much progress we made so far.
